Lucknow: A sensational case has come to the fore from Lucknow, the capital of UP. Here the police has arrested a soldier of the Indian Army. Earlier this week, the jawan’s wife was killed in a mysterious fire incident. At the same time, the police suspect that the accused jawan has allegedly killed his 22-year-old wife Tanu Kumari for dowry. The name of the accused jawan is Manish and he is posted in the Bihar Regiment.
Father told the truth
Tanu married Manish a year ago. In his complaint, the victim’s father Virendra Kumar Rai, a resident of Vaishali in Bihar, explained in detail about the torture being meted out to Tanu and exposed Manish and his family. He had told the police that he did not know how Tanu burst into flames.
Mother-in-law asked for 10 lakh rupees
Virendra Kumar said that ‘We got Tanu married to Manish with the consent of both the families and gave her enough gifts. A few days after the marriage, Manish and his brother Anish and their mother Suman demanded Rs 10 lakh and a plot of land in Hajipur area of Bihar’s Vaishali district. He further said that Tanu called him on February 19 and told that she was being beaten up by Manish’s brother and his mother after Manish returned home.

Virendra Kumar said that Tanu also asked me to come immediately and take him back. It was not possible to reach Lucknow so soon. He told that Tanu’s mother-in-law had received a call from Suman, who told that Tanu had run away from home. After a while Suman called me again and told me that Tanu had died in the fire.
