Amritsar team defeated Hoshiarpur by an innings and 218 runs on Monday in the ongoing Katoch Shield Cricket Tournament at Gandhi Ground in Amritsar, Punjab. In this match, the Amritsar team was captained by IPL star Abhishek Sharma. Abhishek Sharma took three wickets for 43 runs in the match.

In this match that started on Sunday, Hoshiarpur cricket team won the toss and batted first. In the first innings, Hoshiarpur’s team scored 122 runs after being all out. Amritsar’s left arm spinner Vinay Choudhary took 4 for 41 and Arjun Pappal took 4 for 17. In response, Amritsar’s team, performing well, declared the innings by raising a mountain of 409 runs for 5 wickets.

Salil scored 127 runs

Amritsar batsman Salil played an unbeaten innings of 127 runs off 123 balls hitting 6 sixes and 15 fours. Kanwar Pathak scored an unbeaten 101 off 78 balls with two sixes and 14 fours. Sarthak Sharma of Amritsar scored 70 runs with the help of 12 fours.

Hoshiarpur was out for 69 in the second innings as well.

Hoshiarpur’s team could not do much in the second innings as well. The whole team got out for 69 runs. Amritsar’s left arm spinner Vinay Chaudhary took 7 for 26 and captain Abhishek Sharma took 3 for 43.
