The former head of the Bar Association said, the forest department and the district administration are ignoring the order of the Supreme Court.
- The Supreme Court had given 90 days to break all the constructions built under the PLPA Act.
Advocate LN Parashar, former president of Faridabad Bar Association and president of Judicial Reforms Sangharsh Samiti, has complained to the government, accusing the forest department of protecting illegal constructions and has threatened to move the Supreme Court against it.
In a statement issued to the press, Advocate Parashar said that the Supreme Court has given 90 days time to the state government in its order to take action on the construction in the Aravalli forest area. But the administration here is not complying with the order of the court. Illegal slums on the hills are being demolished. He says that the court clearly said that when the illegally built Khori Colony can be demolished under the PLPA Act, then there is no justification to save other constructions. Parashar said that the administration of Faridabad is adopting a biased attitude by ignoring the order of the court. He alleged that big farm houses and educational institutions of shydars have been built in the Aravalli forest area. Even after the order of the court, no action has been taken against them till now. They allege that the administration is looking at the law with two eyes. Parashar has sent a complaint to the Chief Minister of the state, Manohar Lal, demanding action.
