Kanpur Police also started investigation regarding security in each Durga pandal.
Kanpur district administration also got alert after five people were burnt alive due to fire in Durga pandal of Bhadohi. On Monday, all the major Durga pandals of Kanpur were investigated by the officers of the regional police and fire brigade. Along with this, the flaws found in terms of security were also removed.
Fire brigade was deployed as a precautionary measure for security near the pandal.
Security arrangements started in all pandals
Kanpur Police Commissioner BP Jogdand said that five people were burnt alive and many are critical due to the fire in Durga Puja pandal of Bhadohi. In view of this incident, an alert has also been made in Kanpur. CFO MP Singh and DCP, ACP and Thanedars have been ordered to inspect their respective Durga pandals. There should be no irregularities anywhere. There should be safe worship in all Durga Puja pandals in the city.
Since then the fire brigade and police have started inspecting all the Durga pandals in the city. Puja is going on in 285 small and big Durga pandals in the city. Precautionary inspection of all was started.
Fire extinguishers installed in pandals, fire brigade also present
CFO MP Singh told that fire extinguishers in all the big and small Durga pandals of the city.
Installation has been ordered. A precautionary fire brigade has also been arranged near all the major Durga Puja pandals of Kanpur and the pandals that staged Ramlila. So that if any incident happens, it can be controlled immediately.
