Alert at IGI Airport regarding Corona’s dangerous variant B.7, random testing of hundreds of passengers


Coronavirus in India: Along with the central government, the governments of the states are also showing a lot of alert regarding the new variant of Kovid BF.7 in the country. Special precautions are being taken at Delhi’s IGI Airport. Here special arrangements have been made for the corona test for the passengers coming from abroad. After the order of the government, the work of random sampling is going on at the airport. On an average, out of about 25 thousand passengers arriving at IGI Airport every day, about two per cent of the people are being tested for Covid.

If passengers coming from abroad corona virus (Coronavirus) If initial symptoms of infection are found, then arrangements have also been made to quarantine them.

According to Dr. Gauri Agarwal, founder of Genstrings Diagnostic Centre, Delhi’s IGI airport receives about 25,000 passengers on an average, out of which random testing of 500 passengers is being done. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had told on December 24 that the sample test of corona of passengers coming from other countries including China, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea has been started at Delhi’s IGI Airport.

Steps regarding the increasing effect of Corona

In view of the increasing impact of Corona in other countries including China, the Government of India is taking many necessary steps. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had said on Saturday that passengers coming from China, South Korea, Japan and Thailand would soon need a mandatory RT-PCR test. Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had also said after the emergency meeting that he would follow the guidelines of the Centre.

Patients infected with the new variant BF.7 have not yet been found in Delhi. As per the instructions of the Central Government, genome sequencing of all new active cases is being done in Delhi. Along with this, 2,500 tests are being done everyday in Delhi. Special attention is also being given to booster dose.
