Entrepreneurial organizations put up their problem with the Union Minister, said that if the industries remain closed, then the government will face a crisis on revenue and employment of workers.

With the implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAPE) rules in Delhi NCR by the Commission for Air Quality Management from October 1, there has been a complete ban on running generator sets. This has increased the problems of the entrepreneurs. He says that due to the implementation of the rules of Grape, there will be a direct impact on the production of industries, revenue of the government and employment of the people.

Because the electricity department is unable to provide 24 hours power supply. In such a situation, bus entrepreneurs have to run generator sets. Regarding this matter, a delegation of entrepreneurs met Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar and handed over a demand letter to him and demanded concession to the industries or 24 hours power supply. The entrepreneurs clearly say that the government should provide electricity to them, they will pick up the generator set and give it to the electricity board.

Entrepreneurs will keep their word after meeting the Environment Minister

Under the banner of Faridabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Entrepreneurs’ delegation, which came to meet Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar, clearly said that they are in favor of pollution control. We are also ready to follow the guidelines of Grape. All they need is 24 hours power supply. The entrepreneurs also requested to meet the Union Minister for Environment and Climate Change. On this, the Union Minister of State assured him to meet the Environment Minister and said that he would also advocate for the exemption of Grape on behalf of the entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurs’ demand should not be made more strictly in the name of Grape

FCCI General Secretary Rohit Rungta, HK Batra, MP Rungta, TC Dhawan, RC Khandelwal, Shriram Agarwal, Rakesh Jaggi, Devendra Goyal etc., who were included in the delegation, said that after the implementation of GRAP, the eyes of CPCB and HPCB are on the industries. He demanded from the minister that more strictness of these departments should be banned. Do not invoice etc. Entrepreneurs said that not running generator sets is not a solution to pollution. Therefore, the genset should be allowed to run for as long as there is a power cut.

Costs three times more than electricity

JP Malhotra, president of DLF Industries Association, says that no entrepreneur wants to run a generator set soukia. This increases the cost. He said that electricity costs around Rs 9 per unit while the cost from Genset comes to around Rs 30 per unit. He said that the government should provide 24 hours power supply. We will pick up the genset and give it to the electricity board.

Strictness will have an impact on employment and revenue

Shyam Sundar Kapoor, National President of All India Forum of MSME said that if more strictness is done on industries in the name of pollution and industries are closed or production is reduced, then it will directly affect the employment of the people and the revenue received by the government. Talking about Faridabad, about 28 thousand small and small industries are running here. Directly about five to six lakh people have got employment.
