1000 cusecs of water to Gurugram by 2030

Haryana government is trying to ensure availability of 1000 cusecs of water according to the year 2030 population. For this, the repair and remodeling of the channel will cost about Rs 1600 crore. This decision was taken in the meeting of Irrigation and Water Resources Department held late in the evening under the chairmanship of CM Manohar Lal.

Government will implement waste water policy

Water in Haryana will come from GYL

Instructing the officers, the Chief Minister said that steps should be taken to bring the water of river Ganga to Haryana. For this, a letter should be written to the Jal Kendra and the UP government to build the Ganga-Yamuna Link (GYL) canal. With the construction of this link canal, additional availability of water will be ensured to Haryana.

CM’s plan for Faridabad

To meet the water requirement of Faridabad, emphasis will be given on water harvesting from Rainy Well Project. Apart from this, an expert committee should also be constituted to study the underground flow in Yamuna. Along with this, it will also assess how much water is needed in South Haryana and how much is being supplied at present.
