Jammu Murder: The incident of murder of a female doctor has come to light from Jammu. The girlfriend (female doctor) who came here on the festival of Holi was allegedly stabbed to death by her lover. After that, the accused lover also tried to end his life by stabbing himself in the stomach. Currently, the accused lover is undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College in Jammu, where his condition remains critical. Police has registered the case and started investigation. After completing the legal formalities, the police handed over the body of the deceased female doctor to her family.

Police has identified the deceased female doctor as Sumedha Sharma, a resident of Talab Tillo in Jammu. At the same time, the accused has been identified as Johar Mehmood Gani, who is a resident of Pamposh Colony. The incident came to light when a relative of accused Johar informed the police that Johar had posted on Facebook that he was going to commit suicide due to some personal issues. After getting the information, the police went to Johar’s house in Janipur, Jammu. The gate of the house was closed, so the police entered inside by breaking the door and found Sumedha’s body lying in a pool of blood. Accused Johar has suffered injuries in his stomach. Both were immediately taken to the hospital by the police, but Sumedha’s life could not be saved. At the same time, the condition of the accused Johar remains critical.
Sumedha stayed at lover’s house in Holi
It is being told that Sumedha had come home for Holi on March 7 and was staying at her boyfriend Johar’s house. A fight allegedly took place between the two, following which the accused Johar stabbed her. At present, the family of accused Johar and Sumedha have not yet commented on the matter. According to sources, the accused Johar Mehmood Ghani and the deceased Sumedha were in a relationship for more than 4 years and they studied Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in a dental college in Jammu. After this, Sumedha went out of Jammu to study for MDS. On the other hand, the police have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and have started investigation in this regard.
