Delhi Fire Case: On Friday, two people allegedly set a 23-year-old man on fire by pouring petrol over him in Chhawla area of the capital Delhi. Police said that one of the accused Kalu sprinkled petrol on Deepanshu, while the other accused Titu used a lighter to burn him. Police has arrested an accused injured in the incident, who is undergoing treatment at Safdarganj Hospital in Delhi along with the victim. According to the police, there was a fight between the three because Deepanshu suspected that the girl working with him was Titu’s friend.

Dwarka DCP said that the police received a PCR call and the caller said that a person named Deepanshu poured petrol on a girl and set her on fire. But when the police team reached the spot, they found that no girl was injured, rather Kalu had poured petrol on Dipanshu and Titu used a lighter to set her on fire. Accused Titu and Kalu tried to run away from the spot, but got caught in the police’s trap. Dipanshu caught Titu, due to which he too got burnt. Both were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, from where they were referred to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment.
The condition of the victim and the accused is stable
According to the police, the condition of the victim and the accused is stable and they are out of danger. After receiving Dipanshu’s complaint, the police arrested Kalu in this case and registered an FIR under the section of attempt to murder. The other accused Titu is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Police said that Titu’s statement will be recorded after the doctor’s permission. The police said that the investigation is currently underway and we are probing the matter from all angles.
