After 7 months and 24 days, new cases of corona have crossed 11 thousand in the country. In the last 24 hours, 11 thousand 109 cases of infection have been reported, while 29 people have died. Earlier, on August 20 last year, 11 thousand 539 cases were received.

According to the website of the Ministry of Health, currently active cases have increased to 49 thousand 622 in the country. Earlier, on September 5 last year, there were more than 49 thousand active cases. Apart from this, the daily positivity rate has reached 4.42% and the weekly rate has reached 4.02%. Apart from this, the recovery rate is 98.70%. At the same time, the death rate was recorded at 1.19%.

More than 64% new cases in top-5 states, Kerala at the forefront

On Thursday, 11,109 new corona patients were found in the country. Of these, 7,115 cases were found in only 5 states. This is 64% of the total figures.

Kerala: Here 3098 new cases were found, 1900 people got cured, while 10 people died. Currently there are 17,496 active cases here. Here it has been made mandatory for the elderly, pregnant women and people suffering from serious diseases to wear masks.

Delhi: 1527 new cases came here on Thursday and 3 people died of corona. 909 people got cured of this disease. Here the positivity rate has gone up to 27.7%, while the active cases have gone up to 3,962. Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said there is no indication that the Omicron variant XBB.1.16 causes severe infection in children. Uttar Pradesh: 549 new cases were found here last day and 245 people were cured. Currently there are 2094 active cases in the state. The positivity rate here is 0.97%.
