Sometime after living in live-in, Shraddha had told her father that Aftab used to beat her. Even after this he did not end the relationship with Aftab.

Aftab was arrested by the police on 12 November. Police said that Aftab had cut Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces in the bathroom of the flat.
