The comparison of the 7-month tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab government to 70 years has been termed as ridiculous by the opposition parties. Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading said that AAP has spent crores of rupees on fake claims, forgetting the public welfare of Punjab. Vading termed the MSP claim on moong as fake and said that the Punjab government had procured only 11 per cent of the crop. Due to this, farmers have been forced to sell 89 percent of the crop to private buyers at a price less than the MSP.

Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa spoke of adopting double standards by the AAP government in the arrest of former minister Sunder Sham Arora. He asked when will Punjab CM take action against cabinet minister Fauja Singh Sarri, while the audio in the matter is also viral. Bajwa has questioned AAP for not taking action so far.

BJP Punjab President told different stand

BJP’s Punjab President Ashwani Sharma said in the arrest case of former minister Sham Sundar Arora that AAP has a different stand in the corruption case. He said that on the one hand, AAP had registered a case by sacking its minister Dr. Vijay Singla from the cabinet when the by-election to the Lok Sabha in Sangrur came.

But now accused Singla is roaming freely. No audio-video has also surfaced against him. Whereas CM Mann himself had said that he had audio-video recording. Whereas in the case of cabinet minister Fauja Singh Sarari, action has not been taken even after a month after the audio recording went viral.

FIR of Kumar Vishwas and Bagga canceled

The opposition has said that the AAP government will be exposed after the Punjab and Haryana High Court quashed the FIRs registered against famous poets Kumar Vishwas and Tejinder Pal Bagga. The BJP leader has called it AAP’s drama baazi.
