Russia-Ukraine War: Amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, there was a big explosion on the bridge in Russian-occupied Crimea on Saturday. A big statement has come from Ukraine regarding this blast. Mykhailo Podolyaki, an aide of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy, said that this is just the beginning. Ukraine’s leader tweeted that, “The Crimea Bridge is just the beginning. Everything illegal must be destroyed. Everything stolen from Ukraine must be returned. Everything Russian occupied must be expelled.”
The bridge was closed after a truck exploded on Saturday (October 8) morning. The bridge was damaged after the blast and a huge fire broke out. This bridge was very important for the Russian soldiers present in Crimea. Russia’s counter-terrorism committee had earlier said that the bridge was damaged by an explosion in a truck.
Ukraine had warned
During the ongoing conflict between the two countries, Ukrainian officials have repeatedly spoken of attacking the Crimea Bridge. This bridge connects the Russian peninsula of Crimea with the Krasnodar region of the country. In August, Podolyaki said the largest bridge in Europe should be destroyed because it was an illegal construction and the main entrance to Russian military supplies into Crimea. Zelensky and other members of his team have also said that Ukraine will use force to take back Crimea. Let us tell you that in 2014, Russia established the occupation of Crimea.
Russian President gave this order
After the blast, Russia’s National Counter-Terrorism Committee (NAC) said that a truck was blown up by a bomb on the Crimea Bridge. Due to which seven fuel tanks of a train caught fire. Two motorways of the bridge have partially collapsed. Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the formation of a government commission to investigate the matter.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that nothing can be said about when the Crimean Bridge will be repaired. All motor and rail traffic on the bridge has been suspended. Russian Railways said the sale of train tickets to Crimea has been suspended due to the emergency on the bridge.
