Kolkata Crime: A heart-wrenching news has come out from Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. A case has been registered in the city’s Bijoygarh of a mentally challenged elderly woman living with her 38-year-old daughter’s dead body. According to the information, a food delivery boy smelled foul from the house, after which the police of Jadavpur police station reached the spot and broke the door and took out the dead body.
When the policemen broke open the door, an elderly woman aged 68 years was sitting near the dead body of her 38-year-old daughter. The elderly woman has been identified as Deepali Basu and the daughter has been identified as Sanchita Basu. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
Estimate of death two-three first
According to police officials, both the elderly woman and her daughter were mentally challenged. The elderly woman had not informed anyone about her daughter’s death. When a food delivery boy realized that the house was stinking, he raised an alarm following which the neighbors informed the police.
Seeing the dead body, the police have guessed the daughter’s death two to three days back. Initial investigation revealed that the mother-daughter duo had no source of income, so one of their relatives used to send them food. Now what is the reason for Sanchita Basu’s death, how did she die, it is not yet known. At present the police is ascertaining it.
