In Haryana’s Faridabad, 16-year-old state level player Priyanshu, who won more than 200 medals, was brutally murdered with knives near Sector-12 HSVP Convention Center. He was returning home on his bicycle after practicing from the stadium. On the complaint of the father, the police has registered a case against the unknown killers.
According to family members, he used to practice 3 thousand meters race. He had also given the exam for admission in Sai. Priyanshu was second among 3 brothers. His father Jeetendra drives an auto. Jitendra, originally a resident of Vaishali in Bihar, has lived with his family in Sanjay Colony, Sector-23, here for nearly 30 years. After the incident, the family is in a bad condition by crying.

Priyanshu (16), a resident of Sanjay Colony, was a class 12 student in Nangla Government School. Along with this, he also regularly races up to 3000 meters. He was counted among the best athletes of the district. He used to come daily from his home to the Sector-12 sports complex to practice running. He was returning home on a bicycle after practicing at around 7 pm on Tuesday night.

He was hit and dropped by a cyclist near Sector-12 Parsvnath Mall. Until Priyanshu could understand something, a young man riding a bicycle attacked him with sharp knives. Priyanshu was stabbed with about five knives, out of which two were in the chest and stomach. Hit in the back with one in two hands. After that he fell unconscious. The attacker fled leaving the bicycle on the spot. Passers-by informed the police. On information, the Central Police reached the spot and immediately admitted Priyanshu to BK Hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead.

Jitendra, the father of the deceased athlete, told that Priyanshu was the second among three brothers. Along with studies, he was also a top in wrestling. By the age of 16, he had won more than 200 medals from district level to state level. His dream was to bring gold medal for the country by qualifying for the Olympics in the year-2024. Recently, he had also given the test for admission in Sai. Soon his result will also come. But perhaps God did not approve of this.

Priyanshu’s father Jitendra told that he used to run from 5 in the morning to 8 in the morning and from 4 in the evening to around 7 in the sports complex in Sector-12. Priyanshu’s elder brother Saurabh is pursuing B.Sc in Delhi University. On 20-21 August, Rohtak got the fourth position in the state level athlete competition organized on the occasion of Sports Day.
