9 Indians killed in fire in Maldives, embassy expressed grief, said – in touch with Male authority


Maldives Fire: At least 10 people were tragically killed when a massive fire broke out in the homes of foreign workers in the Maldivian capital Male on Thursday (November 10). At the same time, many people have also been injured in this accident. One Bangladeshi is also included in the 10 people who died in the fire, including 9 Indian workers.

A fire service official said it took them four hours to douse the fire. Nine Indians and one Bangladeshi national are among the dead. They recovered 10 bodies from the top floor of a building destroyed in the fire. It is being told that the fire started in the car repairing garage of the ground floor of the building.

The Indian High Commission in Maldives has condoled this incident of fire in Male, in which a total of 10 people, including 9 Indian nationals, have died. The Indian embassy said that it is in touch with the Maldives government regarding the incident. The High Commission of India has also released the helpline numbers issued to help the victims.

The National Disaster Management Authority of Maldives tweeted that a relief and rescue center has been set up in a stadium for the victims of the fire in Male.
