5G Services Launch: The government has asked telecom companies to be ready to launch 5G mobile service. After which the way has been cleared for the early launch of 5G mobile services in the country. The companies that got the spectrum in the 5G spectrum auction have been issued with spectrum assignments. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given this information. He has requested the telecom service companies to prepare for the launch of 5G mobile services by tweeting.

In fact, the companies which have got spectrum in the auction have started paying for spectrum to the government. Bharti Airtel has made a payment of Rs 8,312.4 crore for the spectrum it acquired in the 5G auction. Airtel said that it has made advance payment of 4 years of 5G spectrum dues. Reliance Jio has given the first installment of Rs 7864 crore. Spectrum is being allotted to companies. After which Ashwini Vaishnav has tweeted and asked the companies providing mobile services to prepare for launching 5G services.

Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have already announced that they will launch 5G mobile services in August 2022. Airtel says that by March 2024, Bharti Airtel will provide 5G mobile service in all cities and major rural areas of the country.

In fact, the auction of 5G spectrum started in the last week of July. A total of four telcos have bid for spectrum worth Rs 1,50,173 crore in the seven-day 5G spectrum auction. In which the share of Reliance Jio alone is close to 59 percent. Reliance Jio has bid for 5G spectrum worth Rs 88,078 crore. After Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel has bid for spectrum worth Rs 43,039.63 crore.
