2 lakh stolen from power house in Jalandhar: Cashier went to eat food after locking the cabin; found it missing

In Jalandhar, Punjab, a case of theft of lakhs of rupees has come to light from the power house near Pratap Bagh under Police Station 3. Cashier Nitin told that he had left his cabin after locking his cabin at 1.30 pm to have food. As soon as he came back after having dinner, he saw that money was missing from the cash box.

When he investigated, 2 lakh 64 thousand 557 rupees were stolen from there. The cashier told that he found a screwdriver on the spot. There was a stir in the electricity department after the theft was reported. After which the employees of the electricity department informed the police. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the employees.

Where the theft took place in the electricity house, there are no CCTV cameras installed. Due to which no clue of the person who stole the cash has been found so far. There was no fear in the minds of the thieves as the cameras were not installed at the spot. Due to which he escaped fearlessly after committing the crime.
