Two employees of Axis Bank branch in Begowal, Kapurthala, Punjab committed a scam of crores. Both of them went missing over Rs 2 crore 19 lakh in cash and 4 packets of gold ornaments over Rs 37 lakh. A case has been registered against both the personnel at Begowal police station.

According to the information, Vigilance had raided Axis Bank on August 25. The Vigilance team had seized important documents while investigating in connection with the scam of crores of rupees in the bank.

In the complaint given to the police, Harpinder Singh, the cluster head of Axis Bank, said that Nitesh Kumar resident Dasuha and Ramandeep Singh resident Begowal, working in Begowal branch, had embezzled Rs 2 crore 19 lakh 21 thousand 110 in bank money. In the same bank, 4 gold jewelery packets lying in lieu of loans of customers also disappeared. Whose price is 37 lakh 12080 rupees 60 paise.

On the complaint of Cluster Head Harpinder Singh, police station Begowal has registered a case against Nitesh and Ramandeep Singh under various sections. Police station in-charge Ranjodh Singh said that soon both the accused will also be arrested.
