128 crores will be spent on sewerage in Batala: 160 km area will be covered, instructions for timely completion of minister’s work

In order to provide basic amenities and clean environment in Punjab, Rs 127.99 crore will be spent by the government for providing sewerage facility to Batala city. Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar took stock of the work of this project and directed the officials of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board to complete the work within the stipulated time.

Dr. Nijjar informed that about 160 km area of ​​Batala city will come under sewerage network. Apart from this, a sewerage treatment plant with a capacity of 30 MLD and a main pumping station will also be covered under this project. With this, a large population of Batala city will get the benefit of sewerage system.

It connects Main Dera Baba Nanak Road, Man Nagar, Dambiwal, Hasanpura, Punder, Murni Mohalla, Shukarpura, Sunder Nagar, Main Aliwal Road, Kachhakot Telianwal, Jujhar Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Khatib, Allowal Village, Amritsar Road, Dhir Road and Jalandhar Bypass. The road will be covered.

Also the areas adjoining Armaan Resort, Malawe ki Kothi, Bode ki Khui, Main Jalandhar Road, Navroop Nagar, Narayan Nagar, Back side of Guru Nanak College, Back side of Guru Nanak Academy, Sri Hargobindpur Road, Along Kahanuwan Road Areas covered under Batala Town Sewerage Project are Jhadianwal, Prem Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Basant Nagar, Preet Nagar, Model Town, Kala Nangal Road, Dasmesh Nagar, Kartar Nagar etc.
