Heroin consignment found from farmer’s field.
A consignment of heroin has been found from a village farm near the Attari border in Amritsar, Punjab. The farmer informed the Border Security Force (BSF) after seeing this consignment in the field. The BSF has started investigation after seizing the consignment. Initial investigation has revealed that the consignment has been dropped through a drone.
According to the information received, the incident is of Kakkar village near Attari in Amritsar at night. During the night the farmer went for a walk around his fields. During this, his eyes fell on the packet wrapped in yellow and blue tape lying in the field. When the farmer got suspicious, he gave this information to the BSF. The BSF team reached the spot and took possession of the consignment.
Heroin dispensed by drone
When BSF weighed the consignment, its total weight was about 1 kg. It’s gone. The value of the consignment in the international market is around Rs 7 crore. In the initial investigation, it has been found that this consignment was dispersed by Pakistani smugglers through drones. At present, the consignment has been sent to the lab for examination.
